(The Herald News, Jan. 30) A 20-year-old student at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth died of a drug overdose. He was found dead in his dorm room on a Friday night after campus police received a call asking to check on the student. Police are still determining the drug that caused the overdose, but the university has acknowledged that substance abuse issues occur on campus and that it is not immune to the issues occurring in the region.
