As Prescription Drug Abuse Grows, Some Medical Schools Revamp Curriculum

(Why Y, April 1) About 60 medical schools nationwide recently told the White House that students will be required to learn about chronic pain and prescribing in order to graduate. This is parallel to the White House pledge that incorporates new federal guidelines to urge physicians to be more cautious when prescribing opioids and other addictive narcotics.
