Opioid Prescriptions Are Declining. Will It Ease The Addiction Epidemic?

(The Christian Science Monitor, May 22) The number of opioid prescriptions has declined for the first time in two decades. This change is due to physicians' changing attitudes and vigilance when providing prescriptions in light of their potential for addiction. However, it's unclear if the lower prescription numbers will impact the opioid crisis, especially since deaths are still rising.
