(Live Science, July 25) More kids are accidentally consuming marijuana in Colorado ever since marijuana became legal in the state. A study found that between 2009 and 2015, the number of calls regarding kids accidentally ingesting marijuana increased by five fold. The average age of children treated in hospitals or had calls made about them to poison control was two years old. The drugs typically belonged to parents, grandparents, caretakers, and other family members. Symptoms were usually vomiting, trouble breathing, and even seizures.
