Pomona 'Rave' Promoters, L.A. County Sued For Teen's Ecstasy-Related Death At Hard Fest 2015

(Claremont Patch, July 26) The parents of a 19-year-old girl who died from drug overdose at a music festival last summer are suing the rave promoters and the county. Katie Dix had taken high amounts of bath salts though she thought she was taking pure ecstasy. Of the 65,000 attendees, there were only four medical stations and the lawsuit states that the medical responders were not properly trained. The lawsuits says that the promoters turn a blind eye to the knowledge that people consume drugs, in an effort to profit from young people who believe they are attending a safe party environment.
