Newton Mom Shares Message After Deaths of Teenage Daughter, Friend

(Union Leader, Sept. 11) Another New Hampshire teen has died from a heroin overdose. The most recent one, Brooke Taylor Armstrong, was 16 and had attended a party recently when she overdosed. Toxicology reports are still underway. Her friend, 18-year-old Lillian Pease, had recently passed away from a heroin overdose. Lillian's mother met Armstrong at the funeral, where Armstrong had just completed a treatment program for addiction with heroin. When Thayer went to Armstrong's facebook page to wish her a happy birthday earlier in September, she learned that Armstrong was in the hospital from the drug overdose and passed away that midnight.
