(Arlington Times, Sept. 10) Local statistics for Snohomish County in Washington State found that almost half of high school seniors have tried marijuana. Ten percent have tried cocaine. The study comes in the midst of the opioid crisis, making the local health district put the issue front and center. In the past 10 years, opioid overdose killed 900 people in that single county, more than from car accidents. The study was released by the Snohomish Health District. Marijuana, which is legal in Washington State, is also more popular than cigarettes in high school, behind alcohol. READ MORE.
