How to talk to teens about drug use during Halloween season

(Fairport-East Rochester Post, Oct. 21) Halloween is a good time to bring up drug use with your teen. As they wear costumes to disguise who they are, drugs aren't that far from the same thing. As statistics show youths experimenting with various drugs, and more are turning to heroin. Since 2005, teen use of heroin in New York State has increased from 1 percent to 4 percent.
