(WCNC, Nov. 3) Drug abuse in Charlotte, North Carolina is on the rise among teens. More students are opting to take drugs instead of attending homecoming games or the movies. In the high school, smelling weed coming from the bathroom is not uncommon, and students say it's really easy to obtain marijuana. Already there have been 138 heroin overdoses in the area that resulted in 10 deaths. A group of high school students, called the "Dream Team," made up of varsity athletes a are working to combat the problem in the community and in elementary schools. READ MORE.
