6 Hospitalized After Apparent 'Spice' Overdose

(KGTV, Dec. 4) More overdoses from synthetic marijuana occurred in San Diego for a third week in a row. People were seen falling ill or acting odd over a period of 30 minutes and sent to the hospital. Five men and one woman were taken to the hospital. This comes after 10 people, one as young as 13, were taken to hospitals after suffering from seizures and bloody noses, or were passed out on the streets after taking the drug. Synthetic marijuana, also known as K2 or Spice, is manufacturered by spraying chemicals over leaves to mimic the effects of real marijuana.
