Pharmacists Touted as Last Line of Defense Against Addiction

(Lexington Herald-Leader, Dec. 20) Pharmacists have the power to help or hurt the prescription drug abuse crisis in Pennsylvania—and nationwide—by tightening control over drug distribution. Painkillers are often the cause of the recent heroin epidemic, which has been leading to a rash of overdoses in the state and around the country.
