Jay Williams Opens Up About Drug Addiction Battle in New Memoir

(Daily News, Jan. 24) Former NBA player Jay Williams talks about his downfall addiction to prescription drugs in a new memoir. The three-time Duke All-American and former Chicago Bulls starter ended his career after crashing his motorcycle in Chicago, and then became addicted to Oxycontin that was prescribed to him for his injuries. After that, he continued taking the pills, paying up to $500 for a bag from a drug dealer. The memoir, entitled "Life is Not an Accident: A Memoir of Reinvention" talks about how he eventually found his way out through religion and became an analyst for ESPN. READ MORE.
