Video: 911 Call

Every 20 minutes in the United States someone loses their battle with drug addiction. 

In this audio, taken from an actual 911 call, a distaught mother found her son passed out after an apparent drug overdose. 

His mother knew he was doing drugs and she hid it. She says her son started with marijuana before moving on to opioids.

She and her husband had just come home after celebrating her birthday before she found her son passed out, she says. Now, after her son’s death, she no longer celebrates her birthday.
