Ford's 'Drugged Driving Suit' Aims To Discourage Teens From Driving While On Drugs

(ABC7, March 17) Motor company Ford has designed a "Drugged Driving Suit" to show teens the effects of driving under the influence of several drugs. The suit, part of Ford's Driving Skills for Life program, simulates the effects of being under four to five different drugs. The suit includes vision-impairing goggles, headphones, a hand tremor generator, weights, and braces. Students who have tried the suit can end up hitting several cones even while driving only 5 mph. As marijuana legalization increases across the country, program managers believe it's important to stress the importance of not driving while under the influence. READ MORE.
