Local Teens Who Admit To Using Drugs Turn To Internet To Buy Prescription Drugs

(Bowling Green Daily News, April 17) A new survey among teens in Kentucky showed that more kids are obtaining prescription drugs illegally from the web. The survey, conducted by the Save Our Kids Coalition among public school children from sixth through 12th grade, found that while only one child admitted to getting drugs on the web in 2014, 188 reported doing so in 2015. The change may be due to effective local efforts to reduce drug availability through take-back bins, but forcing kids to find new outlets for the habits. READ MORE.
