Medical Experts: Opioid Addiction is 'Biggest Epidemic' Ever

(KCCI, July 14) Iowa is another state experiencing an opioid overdose epidemic. Tracing back to the 1990's, when doctors over-prescribed opioids, many people developed an addiction to them. One woman began 13 years ago by taking her mother's cancer medications for headaches, which quickly spiraled out of control.
