Teens Who Play Sports Less Likely To Say They've Done Heroin

(Fox News, July 27) A new study shows that teens who are active participants in sports are less likely to abuse prescription drugs than peers who don't play sports. The researchers from the University of Michigan found that, through the Monitoring the Future study, kids who reported sports participation did not also say they took opioid painkillers without a prescription, or heroin. The number of athletes who use illicit drugs are also fewer than non-athletes. READ MORE.
