Students Taken to Hospital After Eating Marijuana-Laced Brownies at SLC Elementary School

(Fox 13, Sept. 23) Two sixth-grade students in Salt Lake City were hospitalized after eating marijuana-laced brownies in school. A third student had brought the brownies to the playground before school and either sold or shared them with several other sixth-graders. All of the students were aware that the brownies had marijuana in them. They each felt ill after eating them, and two were sent to the hospital and stay hospitalized the next day. Parents were shocked by the age of the students involved and of the girl who distributed them, realizing that the need to educate their children about the dangers of drugs far earlier than anticipated.
